RADON MITIGATION

IS RADON PREVALENT IN YOUR AREA?

Dangerous levels of radon gas concentrations have been found statewide. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) gathers information on radon activity throughout the state on an ongoing basis and shares that information with the public via an interactive map. The map allows you to check radon gas prevalence by search on your county or by zipcode.

Living in a radon prevalent area doesn’t confirm your property has radon gas, it does strongly suggest you test your property regularly to be certain.

ALL HOMES SHOULD BE TESTED

All homes should be tested for radon regardless of geographic location. Variations in the soil can differ even in side-by-side properties.   IEMA & The EPA recommend regular radon testing.
